Cafe Rose in Sankt Goarshausen

We were in the cafe and were totally disappointed. Actually, we should have been puzzled that there wasn't a guest in the entire cafe and that in the afternoon. The waiter (presumably the owner) was very nice and polite (hence one star), but that was all. We ordered a coffee, a hot chocolate and 2 pieces of cake. The coffee tasted bitter and the cake plates themselves were dirty on the edge and not properly washed. We left the cafe only 10 minutes later after paying almost 14 euros for the place settings.

2 stars because the condition was friendly. Otherwise terrible shop. Everything is old, cakes so-so. The icing on the cake was that my son had ordered a Fanta and got an orange juice with carbon dioxide. When asked we were told that it was "Fanta Orange" ... Conclusion: Never again. The next time in the nice ice cream cafe a few meters further which we unfortunately saw too late .. There was ice cream for my son.

Ice cream is nothing special and the prices for the sundae are completely overpriced!

Nice location right on the Rhine. Not just a pure ice cream parlor or café, but also a small lunch menu (soup, meatballs etc.). Friendly service. Everything great.

Disappointing. 1 star more because of friendly service. Ice cream was OK, but very loveless. The coffee was very bitter and did not taste at all. The toilets were run down and dirty. Not recommended.

Service (apparently the boss and the other staff) very friendly, the prices okay and not over the top, but everything else not good, not to say: unfortunately very bad! The Cola mix totally schal (so no carbonic), the menu handed out totally "verranzt" (worn, wrinkled, old shell), the "Toast Fassi" (= toast with ham, cheese and tomatoes) completely carelessly done, as good as tasteless, the cheese just nasty "Scheibletten", no demand if another drink is desired (although obviously empty and despite multiple passing by the boss), no demand if the food tasted (no, unfortunately it did not), the toilets very degenerate and pretty dirty - unfortunately I have to advise everyone to stop there! I got annoyed in hindsight, that I have arrived there! Am as unfortunately unknowled tourist "trapped in the trap" ...

Very bad, the food is of very poor quality (doesn't taste like anything), the service is completely disorganized and inefficient and the entire decor is from 40 years ago (plus old and unkempt toilets)

Coffee and cake are ok somewhat noisy through the B42
